78th ARS "Hero for the Day"

MCGUIRE AFB, N.J. -- Thirtyfive-year-old Miguel Velez (left), gains first-hand pilot experience in a KC-10 Extender from 1st Lt. Matthew T. Thatcher of the 78th Air Refueling Squadron, Oct. 15 as part of his visit during the "Hero for the Day" program. The program, sponsored by the Reserve squadron, is open to people who have a terminal disease or debilitating condition.
