JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Master Sgt. Miriam Carpio-Hospedales, 514th Security Forces Squadron, was inducted to into the New York Veterans' Hall of Honor during a ceremony at the Lynbrook, N.Y., Knights of Columbus November 3, for her dedication and service to the country. The annual ceremony, hosted by New York State Assemblyman Brian Curran, recognizes local veterans who have distinguished themselves through their bravery, patriotism and commitment. Carpio-Hospedales has been serving with the 514th SFS for the past 21 years. She has been on numerous active duty tours and deployments in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. During the ceremony, Curran presented Carpio-Hospedales with an official New York State Assembly Proclamation.
