Hero for the Day
Eight-year-old Cheyanne Matthews, shares a laugh with Col. James N. Stewart, commander of the 514th Air Mobility Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit at McGuire Air Force Base, N.J., Dec. 3 as part of her visit duirng the "Hero for the Day" program. The program, sponsored by the 732nd Airlift Squadron, is designed to give back to the local community and is open to children who have a terminal disease or debilitating condition. Cheyanne, who suffers from a heart condition called Tetrologyoffallot, has undergone three open heart surgeries since age two. Her latest was performed Dec. 22.
