514th MXG commander retires after 38 years in service

A retirement ceremony was held for U.S. Air Force Col. Anthony Esposito, commander, 514th Maintenance Group, 514th Air Mobility Wing, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Jan. 6, 2018. Esposito enlisted in the Air Force in 1979 and was later commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1990. During his 38-year career in aircraft maintenance, he deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. In addition to serving with the 514th, Esposito was also assigned to Headquarters Fourth Air Force at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., and to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. A traditional reservist, Esposito is a retired New York City police sergeant, where he served as the aircraft maintenance supervisor of the department’s aviation unit.
