Every 514th Air Mobility Wing maintenance member here, owes themselves a pat on the back having successfully shown the Air Mobility Command Logistics Standardization and Evaluation Program team they know and can perform their jobs.

Feb. 5-13, the LSEP team focused their attention on how well the 514th Maintenance Group members complied with technical and safety operating instructions while performing their tasks.

Preparation is key to any endeavor and the maintenance members did their share.
"We completed mini internal LSEP inspections prior to the team arriving," said Senior Master Sgt. Nelson Rivera, superintendent, 514th quality insurance.

The 305th Maintenance Group was also inspected alongside the reserve maintainers.
"Seamless integration was achieved effortlessly, with all personnel demonstrating a willingness to work together," said Lt. Col. Anthony Baity, commander, 514th MXG. "They freely shared their processes and welcomed evaluations," he said.

"Maintenance continuously refines processes to ensure we provide the operations community safe and reliable aircraft," said Capt. Jose Lasso, 305th MXG quality assurance officer.

In addition to teamwork, Colonel Baity said periodic safety messages were sent via the maintenance radio net to remind flight line personnel of proper tool and equipment use.

With this inspection behind them maintenance will not have another LSEP visit for 18 months.
