JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- U.S. Army LTC Dawn M. Opland, deputy commander Army Support Activity Dix, lights the tree during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held at Wurman Hall on Army Support Activity, N.J., Dec 1, 2021. Opland played a critical role in overseeing the planning and success of the event and was given the honor of lighting the tree as a result by the JB MDL Installation Commander. The annual tradition attended by leadership and JB MDL families offered horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate, cookies, funnel cake, pretzels, kettle corn and a special visit from the North Pole.
