Members with Task Force Liberty and the 514th Air Mobility Wing receive and process a donation of coats that will go towards the Afghan guests currently at Liberty Village on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, February 11, 2022.

A donation from Dave Chen, CEO of Equilibrium, allowed Operation Encore, (A non profit veterans organization that provides opportunities in the music development industry for veterans and actively serving members of the armed forces) to purchase the coats and coordinate distribution with the 514th Air Mobility Wing, Vice Commander Col. Erik Brine.

The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 11,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan personnel essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Darius Frazier.)
