During a ceremony on 11 March 2022, the 514th Air Mobility Wing inducted four new Honorary Commanders as representatives for the Freedom Wing.

The Honorary Commander program is designed to pair deserving community members, business owners, and local influencers with the installation to become a part of the team at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. In this program, HCC’s develop partnerships and friendships that span outside the gates of the installation and are able to share their experiences they have with this program in their local community.

“The ability for our Honorary Commanders to experience firsthand the daily activity at JB MDL, and then share their insight with their communities, is important to build a accurate understanding of the social, economic, and national impact this base creates,” said Col. William Gutermuth, commander, 514th Air Mobility Wing.

During the ceremony the following people were inducted as 514th Honorary Commanders representing the broad spectrum of the Air Force Reserve component at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
