JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Chief Master Sgt. Tabiya Wescott was honored by family, friends, and her fellow Airmen during her recent promotion ceremony at the 514th Freedom Wing. With 23 years of dedicated service, Wescott has built a respected career marked by leadership and commitment to her fellow Airmen.
Reflecting on her journey, Chief Wescott said becoming a non-commissioned officer was a defining moment. “Once you take charge, you just don’t forget it. It stays with you,” she said. “It was the first time when I realized, ‘Now I’m responsible for somebody.’ I can change policies, procedures, and culture, and the way Airmen are treated in the military.”
Her promotion reflects not only her personal achievements but also the Wing’s dedication to developing strong leaders who embody Air Force values and foster a culture of excellence. Chief Wescott continues to inspire those around her with her unwavering dedication to service and leadership.
