JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST -- Several key members from the local community participated in the Honorary Commanders' program held here Aug. 20. Inductees will serve a year-long tenure working in conjunction with 514th Air Mobility Wing commanders to support the missions, policies and programs of the Air Force Reserve.

The program is designed to build positive relationships between service members and the communities they serve, foster a family-friendly environment, and increase military and community involvement with installation, mission-partner and civilian activities. Routinely, participants are invited to participate in installation and unit events throughout the year.
