Memorial Day

Lt. Col. Anthony Polashek, 514th Operations Group, visits with Theodore “Dutch” Van Kirk, the navigator and last surviving crew member of the Enola Gay, a B-29 Superfortress which dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, during the final stages of World War II. Polashek encourages all Airmen to celebrate Memorial Day in a manner that recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of American servicemembers. (Courtesy photo)
