Refuel
The refueling boom of a KC-10 Extender meets an F-15E Strike Eagle mid-air above North Carolina's Outer Banks region Jan. 10. The boom was operated by Tech. Sgt. Matthew Yockey, a reservist with the 78th Aerial Refueling Squadron. The KC-10 and its aircrew proved their versatility during the three-day mission that saw them transport passengers and humanitarian cargo in addition to providing the Strike Eagles' fuel. The Strike Eagle and its aircrew are stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C. (U.S. Air Force photo by Shawn J. Jones)
