Refueling Typhoons
Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon pilots get their first view of the boom area of the KC-10 Extender June 6, after completing an air refueling training mission with the Reserve aircrew that flew the tanker. Senior Airman Gregory Coburn, a member with the 78th Air Refueling Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., gives the tour of the tanker’s boom area and explains how he operates the drogue, which allows the fuel to flow from the tanker to the fighters.
