A view of the damage caused to the second and third floor of Senior Airman Julius Guest's Queens home immediately following Hurricane Sandy Oct. 2012. Guest, a knowledge operations manager at the 514th Air Mobility Wing, and his wife were only able to retrieve a few items they were able to salvage and were forced to move in with their in-laws nearby until the Federal Emergency Management Agency evaluated their losses. Since March of last year, the couple has since relocated to another home in a nearby neighborhood (Courtesy photo).
