Ops Group commander flies final flight with the Freedom Wing
Col. Robert Dunham, 514th Operations Group commander, flew his "fini" flight on a KC-10 Extender, May 31. Dunham, who has been with the 514th Air Mobility Wing since 1999, is retiring from duty after almost 30 years of service with the Air Force and Air Force Reserve. The "Fini" flight is a time honored tradition marking the retirement of a pilot through a final flight. After landing the pilot is often sprayed, or doused with water and champagne by friends, family, and crew to celebrate his completion.
