U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Derrick Powell, an air transportation special handling representative with the 88th Aerial Port Squadron, and Staff Sgt. Michael McBride, a joint inspector with the 35th APS, both with the 514th Air Mobility Wing, guide an M1A2 Abrams tank with the N.J. National Guard, Regional Training Site, onto a telephone pole to measure its center of balance on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., July 16, 2021. Members from the 35th and 88th APS participated in a joint training exercise with the N.J. National Guard to improve their operational efficiency in loading heavy equipment they may encounter in a forward deployed environment.
