Airmen from the 514th Air Mobility Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., join the mayor of Lonlay L'Abbaye, France, on Aug. 9, 2024, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the fatal B-17 "Chowhound" crash. The B-17 was downed by enemy flak on Aug. 8, 1944, during the Allied liberation of Nazi-occupied France in WWII, killing all nine crew members.
