    Maj. Daniel Toocheck is an optometrist assigned to the 514th Aerospace Medicine Squadron with the 514th Air Mobility Wing located in Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Since he’s been a Reserve Citizen Airman, he has supported multiple Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) medical missions. IRTs are joint-training missions that increase deployment readiness while providing key services (health care, construction, transportation, and cybersecurity) while making a difference in American communities. Toocheck has performed seven medical IRTs in the last eight years to communities across the U.S.

    The Smithsonian hosted the Innovation in Flight Family Day and Outdoor Aviation Display at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, June 15, 2019. The event included displays of various helicopters, vintage cars, and military and civilian aircraft. The largest aircraft present was a C-17 Globemaster III crewed by Reserve Citizen Airmen with the 514th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 732nd Airlift Squadron, 514th Air Mobility Wing.
