Tech. Sgt. Angel Gomez, a Reserve boom operator with the 78th Aerial
Refueling Squadron, makes preparations to a KC-10 Extender to unload

9. Gomez and fellow reservists from the 78th ARS picked-up the cargo from
Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minn., and delivered it to
Charleston as part of a Denton Program mission. The Denton Program allows
humanitarian cargo to be shipped for free onboard military aircraft on a
space-available basis. In this case, the cargo consisted of approximately
40,000 pounds of fortified, rice-based meals intended for impoverished
people living in Afghanistan, several hours west of Bagram Air Base. The
